National Rural Support Programme (NRSP)
Established in 1991, the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) is the largest Rural Support Programme in the country in terms of outreach and staff and development activities. It is a non-profit organization registered under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984.
NRSP’s mandate is to alleviate poverty by harnessing peoples’ potential and undertaking development activities in Pakistan. It has regional and field offices in 46 districts in all four provinces and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The NRSP is currently working with more than half a million poor households organized into a network of more than 57,179 community organizations. With sustained incremental growth, it is emerging as Pakistan’s leading engine for poverty reduction and rural development.
